Dr. Rupa Pike Speaks at Taiwan’s Academia Sinica

Rupa Pike at PodiumDr. Rupa Pike was invited to speak at the 2018 UW Madison Academia Sinica Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Symposium held in Taipei, Taiwan, on March 16, 2018. Dr. Pike spoke about UW Madison Program for Advanced Cell Therapy and the promise it holds for new approaches in Regenerative Medicine. Over 400 scientists attended the symposium. The chief guest at the symposium was the President of Academia Sinica, Dr. James C. Liao.

Academia Sinica

Academia Sinica is the most preeminent academic institutes in Taiwan and was established in 1928 in the Republic of China and later moved to Taiwan in 1949. The institute focuses on the three research disciplines of mathematics and physical sciences, life sciences, and humanities and social sciences. The goal of the institute is to promote international cooperation and scholarly exchanges that will accelerate the overall development of academic research in Academia Sinica and the Republic of China.
